William Henry Stewart ll

December 4, 1967 — April 18, 2025

Madison, IL

William H. Stewart II was born December 4th 1967 to the union of Mr. William Stewart Sr. & Mrs. Viola Stewart in Alton, IL.

William received his education at the Alton Community Unit School District 11 until he made a decision to pursue other endeavors in life. He later married Rochelle Vaughn and to this union one son (William H. Stewart III) was born. Although they eventually chose different paths in life, the bond of their blended family (Tan, Dooger & Kitty) remained strong.

William remarried Katherine Warren. Their union extended the bond of blended family. During their marriage William gained 4 step children (April, Erica, Kevin and Brad Warren) whom he loved as his own.

William was introduced to his daughter Eymani Harvey later in life. They shared an unbreakable bond filled with love.

William was a “jack of all trades.” He was great at fixing cars and any problem a house had to offer. He had a solution for everything all while wearing a smile. He was known for his witty jokes and upbeat personality.

William was a caring person who loved his family & children in the neighborhood. He was known as “Candy Man” to his OKC family because he would supply the kids in the community with candy to sale. He took on many roles in his apartment building as well. He cared for the residents in a capacity that was far beyond his job description.

In 2023 he relocated to Madison IL, with his son and daughter-in-law (William & Serene Stewart). He enjoyed barbecuing; fixing on his son’s car; fishing with his grandson & friend (J-Man & Marcus) playing cards with the Brown family and visiting with his friends (Fat Dog, Kris & Gene).

William departed this life peacefully in his sleep on April 18th, 2025. He left behind a legacy that stretched from Illinois to OKC.

William leaves family and friends to cherish his memory.
